Blue Line is a three-part installation in the lobby of the West Linn Police Station.
The largest panel carries five shades of blue cathedral glass laminated to its surface, with a sandblasted, paint-filled blue line running through the middle. The central panel is etched with an outline of the city, marking points of shared interest that residents identified through community outreach. The smallest is a topographic map of the region, backlit in blue LED light.
Each piece stands on its own, and together they build a layered sense of place. The three ways of seeing the installation reflect the many layers of experience that together make a community.
