Commissioned by Clackamas County Arts Alliance, for the Police Station in West Linn, Thin Blue Line features three panels in the lobby. The first and largest panel has five shades of blue glass laminated to its surface — with a sandblasted, paint-filled blue line. The second largest and central panel is etched with areas of shared interest for all residents. The third and smallest panel is a topographic map of this region, backlit with blue LED lighting. These three pieces work separately and together to convey a layered sense of place.
